WHAT OCCURRED?
Kaizer Chiefs have declared that they have reached an agreement with Al-Ittihad, a club in Libya, to transfer Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, a defender.

Due to injuries, the versatile 26-year-old defender has been considered surplus to needs at Naturena.

That’s why the Glamour Boys have consented to his departure.

He will play with Mahmoud Kahraba, a recent Al-Ittihad addition and former Al Ahly teammate of Bafana Bafana great Percy Tau.

CHIEFS’ COMMENTS
“Kaizer Chiefs have reached an agreement with Libyan club, Al-Ittihad for the transfer of defender, Thatayaone Ditlhokwe,” the club stated in a statement.

He made 32 appearances in all competitions during his 18-month stay with Amakhosi, mostly as a left-sided center-back and more recently as a left-back in coach Nasreddine Nabi’s squad.

The 26-year-old, who is affectionately known as “TT,” participated in his final Amakhosi game last Friday in a 1-0 victory over Stellenbosch in Cape Town.

“He is set to depart this weekend for Libya’s capital, Tripoli, where he will meet his new teammates and coaches,” Amakhosi said.
