“I Want The Smoke”: Ben Johnson Issues Alert To Dan Campbell As NFC North Rivals

Ben Johnson, the newly appointed head coach of the Chicago Bears, has been creating a buzz within the team even prior to the start of the offseason program. As reported in the New York Times, George McCaskey, the chairman of the Detroit Lions, mentioned that Johnson is eager to compete against his former bosses, Dan Campbell, Kevin O’Connell, and Matt LaFleur during the 2025 NFL season.

Ben Johnson previously served as the offensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions from 2022 to 2024. Johnson held various roles with the Detroit Lions from 2019 until the last NFL season and is very familiar with the team’s dynamics. Before joining the Detroit Lions, Johnson worked with the Miami Dolphins in multiple coaching roles. Ben Johnson aims to achieve a complete turnaround with the Chicago Bears after the team underperformed in the 2024 NFL season, placing fourth in the NFC West with only six victories and 11 losses. The team concluded their season with a match against the Green Bay Packers, securing a victory with a score of 24-22. Nevertheless, the win was somewhat too late, and the team was eliminated from the NFL playoffs.
