Lions GM criticizes underperforming starter before possibly substituting him in NFL Draft.

Brodric Martin’s career with the Lions has not gone exactly as expected thus far. Martin, selected by the Lions in the 3rd round (No. 96 overall) of the 2023 Draft, has participated in only *five* games to date. He took part in three games – starting in two – during his rookie season, and then played in just two last year.

Some of this has been due to injuries, but there have been plenty of healthy scratches already, leading fans to question if Martin has any future with the Lions at all.

With Detroit *likely* seeking some assistance for the defensive line in the upcoming draft later this month, it is not unreasonable to presume that perhaps Brad Holmes and the rest of the Lions’ front office might already be considering a transition away from Martin.
